My wonderful Finnish friends, Jarkko and Leena. These pictures were taken in 1999, when we visited Rovaniemi, the first city on the polar circle, and Lapland, a wondefully mysterious place where we never saw the night, and also while Jarkko and his father were trying to teach me how to fish... and I DID catch a fish!! I loved Finland and Lapland, and had a great time with Jarkko and his girlfriend Leena, who is a great artist! And the vodka... yumm...

That summer, I also went to the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Norway... it was all so beautiful! And did I tell you that I had never met Jarkko before I decided to go visit him?
