Hello this is Alan. The first week is finally in the book!! It had been a very tiring week for me, for problems like looking for directions in such a huge school, and of course the courses themselves. But the biggest issue I dealt with was about the class schedule: I always prefer to take an extra class or two at the beginning of a semister, so I can drop some of those which I don't think will work out for me after attending the first class periods that are usually intros. For that matter, the past 5 days for me was loaded with classes and I got to squeeze some more extra time out taking to my advisor; as a result, I was totally bruned out. Good news is, now I got rid of a psychology class which could have given me big schedule problem ( the classroom was assigned at HORT, and the next class starts 15 min. after at EE), and another psychology class which I found out not interested (criminal behaviors), so hopefully the rest of fall will go smoothly. That's about it, let's enjoy the days off!!

Hey, everyone! My name is David Kim, my real Korean name is Dong Hwan Kim but it's little hard to pronounce it so I just go by David. I've been in U.S. for 6years. I went to Stevenson High School in Lincoln Shire, IL. This is my 3rd semester and my major is Liberal Arts. By the way, I'm from Korea and I became 20 this year. Somehow, I'm not good at playing at sports using balls but I like to exercise. My hobby is... (hmmm..) playing video games, watching movies, and may be driving. C ya guys in class next tuesday!

I am majoring in Chemistry, but my real goal is to get in detal program and go to dental school for my graduate school. I have one brother and he is also studying in US at RISD. Hello :) this is Hans. I am a transfer student from Malaysia, now doing Mechanical Engineering here in Purdue. This is my second semester in Purdue. Currently, I am completing some classes from Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior. Therefore, I am not sure which year I am exactly in :) Anyway from next semester onwards I am going to be a Juinor. I chose Purdue because it is one of the top 10 engineering schools in US. Besides that, there is no life in West Lafayette, what I am trying to say is it is a nice place to study :)
I love to do a lot of stuff during my free time, like go fishing in the carribean sea, sun tanning in the bahamas, diving in the Great Barrier Reef and skiing down The Alps, but in reality I am still stuck here in Purdue and I like to work out in the gym. I have 2 elder brothers and 1 sister--I am the youngest in the family :) I was always bullied by my brothers and was treated like a mannequin by my sister but in the end I still survive. My dad is senile and my mom is a pack-rat. She just loves to keep all my stuff :) but I love them very much. I like to live by the present neither the future nor the past :) Therefore, I don't know what my plans are in the future but i just know that I love what i am doing now like writing this assignment for English 106 :) Last but not least, thank you for reading.

Greetings everyone! This is Abdulaziz. I am an Accounting major and this is my second semester here at Purdue University. I'm still trying to get acquainted with the area. It's not that easy being so far away from home and especially when my parents went to school back home. My elder brother and I are the only ones out of my family to study abroad. My other two sisters along with my youngest brother, on the other hand, go to school back home in Kuwait. I usually go play squash during the week and spend some quality time with friends. At the end of the week, however, I prefer going out to dinner and occasionally go skydiving. Skydiving might sound crazy but I love this sport. I guess you could call me a daredevil since I like to throw myself out of a plane at altitudes of 15,000 feet and above!

Hi, I'm Alan. This is my second period here at Purdue, but the thing special about me is that I was born exactly here at Lafayette when my parents were both studying here two decades ago. But I spent my whole life in Taiwan until 1 year ago I decided to come here for further education. Now, I am a psychology major and management minor, and it's my freshman year. I enjoy all kinds of sports, and I love to watch NBA games and MLB games whether in person or on TV. Nice meeting you guys!

Hi! This is Loc. I am from Vietnam but I have been in the United States for 13 years. I got married, have kids and was busy taking care of them. Now I have a chance going back to school. I had attended in the Hue school of medicine for four years before I came here. Pre-Pharmacy is my major. Purdue is only public school in Indiana having Pharmacy Program. I like music and had learned how to play guitar for two years. I also like to grow flowers and I wish I can have a house that full of flowers around as in Thomas Kinkade painting. I cook very often and like to read but I regret that there is only 24 hours in a day. Well, I will write more in next blogger.

Hi..I am Diyana. i am19 years old. i came far from Malaysia which is stated at the east of this world. This is my first time in US. Since i was here, I miss my family and my hometown very much. i have 4 siblings,two brothers and a sister. I am going to major in Actuarial Science. I came here because this is one of the best science school in US. besides, my teachers has recommended this school to me. i like to read japanese comics but since i was here i have no chance to read it. i have lots of japanese comics at home. i wish that i can finished my degree and fulfill the requirement to be a professional Actuary and earn lots of money. bye ...see you again in the next blogger assignment.
